Welcome to Delores Selections
The Delores (Delivering Open Educational Resources for Engineering Design) project has created static and dynamic collections of university-level Open Educational Resources (OERs) and other openly available resources relevant to Engineering Design.
The resources are sourced from collections and individual examples of OERs from around the world, including such sources as MIT OpenCourseWare, UKOER projects, OCWC, OER Commons and Wikipedia.
The aims are (a) to help make such resources more easily discovered by those with a specific interest in Engineering Design by creating a high-profile dedicated site and (b) to provide a showcase of these materials and examples of their use.
This is the static collection–known as Delores Selections–which comprises expert-selected resources presented to end users with an interface themed around a tried and tested first-year undergraduate curriculum for Engineering Design.
A second collection of OERs, is Delores Extensions – which comprises expert-selected engineering design resources updated and augmented by resources selected using an automatic classification system. These resources are made available here using a searchable and browsable adaptive-concept-mapping mechanism know as Waypoint.
How to use this site
Browse All: The quickest way to get started is to browse all the resources.
Browse by Design Syllabus Topic: You can browse by design syllabus topic by selecting a topic or sub-topic from the list on the right. For example > Engineering Graphical Communications (6) > Computer-Aided Design (5)
Browse by Resource Type: You can a browse by resource type by selecting a tag from the list on the right. For example Online Book.
Search: You can search using the search box on the right.
