CBT for BASIC IT SKILLS TRAINING

     Description
     	A family of four distinct Modules covering Wordprocessing,
     Spreadsheet,Database and Graphics has been produced using the
     Hypertext Authoring Package Guide.


     Objectives
        The products are designed to enable Academic and other staff
     to gain a basic working knowledge of wordprocessing,
     spreadsheet, database or graphics as opposed to providing
     instruction on the particular PC package which is used (eg
     Word). Each product can be used on its own or as part of a
     more comprehensive training programme; similarly each
     product can be incorporated into a taught course or used for
     self study purposes.


     System Requirements

     IBM Compatible PC, with VGA display or better, and an MS-
     Windows compatible mouse;
     MSDOS Version 3.1, or later;
     MS-Windows, Version 3.0;
     At least 2Mb of RAM.
     Guide 3.0 ( A centrally supported CHEST deal exists for
                 Guide:- Consult your local Computer Centre)

     The following software packages are required
     for each specific module:-

                     Word processing      M'soft Word 5.5
                     Database             Smartware II version 1.5
                     Spreadsheets         Smartware II version 1.5
                     Graphics             Cricket Presents version 1.4

     Price  to UK Higher education :- 20 pounds per module
     (Note Institutions may copy modules for their internal use )
