This package aims to provide an understanding of the concepts and techniques of Computer Based Learning (CBL). It should be of interest to anyone who wants to know more about CBL.

The software comprises:

The CBL chapters explore CBL concepts and techniques through demonstration and worked examples - key elements covered are CBL Overview; CBL Approaches; Design Issues; Multimedia; Evaluation; and Analysis and Design. The 'CBL Builder' provides the opportunity to practice some of the ideas introduced in the CBL chapters.

The CBL chapters and 'CBL Builder' are accessible via a Table of Contents which provides a flexible learning and exploratory environment. A full set of paper-based documentation is available to support the use of the 'CBL Builder'.

A knowledge of Windows and word-processing is assumed.

The package, which consists of four disks and user documentation, costs 35.00 pounds sterling to UK HE institutions and 55.00 pounds sterling to non-UK HE institutions (plus p+p overseas).
