GUIDE Tutorial & Information Package

     A Self Teaching Tutorial and Information Package for the
     Hypertext Authoring Package "Guide":-  VERSION 2


     This Version supports networked in addition to standalone
     use.  In addition modifications, based on user feedback, and
     corrections have been incorporated.

     This computer based introduction to the subject of
     "Hypermedia"  has, as its major component, a hypertext based
     package for training in the use of the authoring system
     "Guide" produced by Office Workstations Ltd.  The product
     also includes information on the history of hypertext, a
     demonstration package, plus hardware and software
     information of interest to those people wishing to use CBL.

     A centrally supported CHEST deal has been negotiated for
     Guide and your local Computer entre can advise if your
     Institution has a Guide Site License.  The target audience
     is those who wish to produce CBL material using "Guide", and
     staff (eg IT Trainers) who may be asked to offer support to
     hypertext authors. It was written with the user who has no
     knowledge of the subject area very much in mind.

     The subject is taught by actively involving the user with
     the  "Guide" program throughout the tutorial.Users are asked
     to construct a simple hypertext package using text and
     graphics provided by the Tutorial

     The tutorial sessions are :
      
     1 Using the Tutorial          6 Linking Information
     2 Getting  Started            7 Importing Graphics
     3 Creating Documents          8 Working with Graphics
     4 Importing Text              9 Using Frames
     5 Using Colour               10 Program Control

     There is also a substantial section on the "Logiix"
     language.

     IBM Compatable PC 386SX
     VGA or better ( Authors recommend SVGA)
     Windows 3.1
     Guide 3.1 (A centrally supported CHEST deal exists for Guide
                consult your local Computer Centre)
     System occupies  7.5Mb of Hard Disk
