Bristol Biomedical Videodisc

     Description

     This product is a videodisc covering the biomedical sciences.

     Target audience

     The videodisc is intended for people who wish to use
     biomedical images in any part of their course, especially for
     those interested in creating computer based learning (CBL)
     material.

     Contents

     The videodisc is a collection of 24,000 veterinary, medical
     and dental images.  The package contains a visual database
     which is fully-indexed and contains a "free-text" retrieval
     system.

     Producer

     The videodisc and database was compiled by Dr Jane Williams at
     Bristol Imaging, University of Bristol, Royal Fort Annexe,

     The work was funded by the University of Bristol and the
     Information Technology Training Initiative (ITTI).
