What is Content Packaging?

 

A Content Package is:

  • a standard method of sending learning resources.
  • an archive folder (eg Zip file) containing learning resources and an xml file (manifest).

The Manifest file contains:

  • Information on how the learning resources are organised which can be used by a VLE to provide navigation.
  • Metadata which can be used by a repository to provide a search service
