Producing a Content Package

 

Jorum Demonstration Video Using ReLOAD to Produce a Content Package

Create New Content Package

  • Copy all resources and materials into a new folder (name appropriately)
  • Open ReLOAD -> Select File > New > IMS Content Package
  • Select folder where resources are stored

Add Metadata

  • Right Click -> Add Metadata
  • Right Click -> Add Schema
  • Rename -> IMS Content
  • Right Click -> Add Schema Version
  • Rename -> 1.2.2
  • Right Click -> Edit Metadata
  • Enter Metadata, Title, Description, Keywords etc (to add multiple Keywords select Tree View).

Add an organisation

  • Right click on organisation and add organisation
  • Drag and Drop files into organisation
  • Re-order files by use blue arrow keys
  • Tidy up by renaming organisation etc..

Multiple Organisations

  • It is possible to create more than one organisation
  • Repeat steps as above
  • Multiple organisations can be used in many ways (examples are image galleries, source files, support materials etc).

Saving Content Package

  • To save your working copy Select File > Save
  • To zip content package Select File Zip Content Package
  • Chose an appropriate name for zip file.

Important Points

  • Remember if you delete a resource from the Resource Pool (Left Window) this deletes the actual file.
  • When editing a file it may be easier to open the working copy, edit, save and zip over content package rather than using reload to unzip file.
  • You can Preview and Save Reload Content Preview, this may be useful for seeing how content package would view in a VLE.
