TechXtra
TechXtra is a free service which can help researchers find articles, books, the latest industry news, job announcements, technical reports, technical data, full text eprints, the latest research, thesis & dissertations, teaching and learning resources and more, in engineering, mathematics and computing. TechXtra searches over 5 million items from 33 top sources using a combination of sources based on SRU, Z39.50, OAI-PMH and RSS technologies. TechXtra is an initiative of Heriot Watt University and was created using the PerX data and software outputs. TechXtra is funded by voluntary sponsorships, inter-linking partnerships, related JISC projects and institutional contributions.
JournalTOC
JournalTOC is the largest, free and searchable collection of scholarly journal Tables of Contents (TOCs) in the world. It contains TOCs for over 16,000 journals collected from over 700 publishers. JournalTOC has taken special care to include all the highest rated journals in their fields, guaranteeing quality results. The content of JournalTOC is directly collected using the URLs for TOC RSS feeds provided by the own publishers. JournalTOC is for anyone who's looking for the latest or most current papers published in the scholarly literature with international coverage. Academics, librarians, students, researchers, and anyone else should find it useful. Developers can use the JournalTOC API (application programming interface) to embed journalTOC search functionality within their web applications to make the most of the journal TOC RSS feeds metadata. Anyone with access to RSS Readers can also use the JournalTOC API.

WattJournals
A new, low-cost effective search tool for Heriot-Watt University, WattJournals, is a service developed by the University Library and ICBL to give fast and easy access to the full-text of over 4,600 electronic journals to which the Library subscribes. WattJournals is an innovative and economic alternative to large and sometimes complex e-journal systems. It helps students and researchers find papers as soon as they have been published, access the full-text of all papers being searched, save searches for later use, and export citations to EndNote.
